Aaron’s Wish

Kids Wish Network is fulfilling Aaron’s wish to meet the cast of his favorite TV show, “iCarly”. Thanks to the efforts of Lieutenant Brian Michelli of the Fruitport Fire Department and many other generous sponsors from the Fruitport community, Aaron will make memories he will never ever forget.

Yesterday at the Fruitport Fire Department, Aaron was given a backpack with a firefighter patch, a police patch, and a DPW patch decorating the front. Aaron was then escorted to the airport by patrol cars and fire engines with sirens blaring and lights flashing. Seeing this mini motorcade you might think a very important person was involved and you would be right. You see, Aaron is a spunky, fun-loving 10-year-old who suffers from an extremely rare genetic disease that prohibits Aaron from participating in most activities of a boy of his age. These events were just the beginning of Aaron’s exciting wish adventure.

Aaron's wish

Aaron and his dad are pictured (from L-R) with Lieutenant Brian Michelli, Dale Hilliard and Sharon Tardani of the DPW and Sergeant Bryan Ripstra of the Fruitport Police Department. Lt. Michelli said, “We are very thankful that we were able to be involved with helping make Aaron’s wish a special event.”

Stay tuned for the next episode of “Aaron’s Wish”.
