The key to pulling off any event? Volunteers. The key to keeping your volunteers happy? Feed them!! Thanks to Datz in Tampa, we were able to do just that at our Holiday of Hope event at Shriners Hospitals for Children ~ Tampa last week.
When I first heard Datz was gracious enough to donate lunch for our volunteers, I thought “Great! Sandwiches and chips will be easy and won’t distract us from the event.” Yeah, little did I know that our lunch area would be the most popular place before the event started. Take a look at these photos to see why!
These sandwiches were AH-MAZ-ING!!! And no, it’s not the angle of the camera that makes them look that big. That’s real size baby!! I had to take my sandwich apart (I recommend the chunky chicken salad – so ono [which means good]!!) to eat it! Partner that with their sweet and salty chips and you really want to hang out around this table for the rest of your life!
But what is the lunch of your lifetime without a sweet dessert to cap it off? Try one of their monster-sized cookies or delicious chocolate brownies!
But seriously, Datz went above and beyond and we can’t begin to thank them enough. It was an amazing start to an even greater evening! Thanks for keeping our tummies happy so we can focus on putting smiles on the faces of some special children!! Cheers!
