Recently Kids Wish Network teamed up with Sam’s Auto Body in Las Vegas to grant the wish of a young man named Robert. Robert, who lives in Las Vegas, was diagnosed with leukemia in the spring of 2010. When Kids Wish Network called him to verify his wish, he was just getting ready to have a bone marrow transplant but he knew just what would lift his spirits: a “facelift” for his 1999 Honda Civic!
Soon Kids Wish Network was in touch with Tina from Sam’s Auto Body and the “wheels” were in motion to transform Robert’s car. Many of the employees of Sam’s donated their spare time and worked on Robert’s car whenever they could. Sam’s Auto Body put over 150 hours of time into the car and they also solicited help from vendors who generously donated many items. Clearview Mobile donated the window tint, carbon fiber wrap on the hood and the custom stickers; KBD Urethane donated the ground effects kit (bumpers, skirts and flairs); AGR removed and installed all the glass; S.W.A.T. Motor Sports donated the tires; West Coast Customs donated the wheels; Akzo Nobel donated the paint; and Carbodykits.com donated the spoiler.
With all of that specialized new stuff, Roberts car went from this:
Isn’t that a magnificent transformation?!?!
Robert just loves his new car and it’s quite a sight everywhere he goes.
