Name: Isaiah
Age: 4
State: Hollywood, FL
Facility: Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital

When Isaiah was at a laundry mat with his family, he suffered a traumatic accident. He had his hands crushed in a laundry folder. He had to get three fingertips amputated and had pins placed in both hands. This made it very difficult for Isaiah to play, eat or do just about anything. During his month stay, Isaiah became very good at compensating with his feet and legs. He would play, and even paint, with his feet and he loved to dance with his hips! Isaiah just got the pins removed from his hands and thankfully, he now has good function of all his fingers. Isaiah has touched all of us at Joe DiMaggio and we believe that he is a true hero!
