The Kids Wish Network is delivering some extra treats this Christmas season.
The national organization is giving $500,000 worth of toys and gifts to local charities such as homeless shelters and children’s advocacy programs. Charities like Metropolitan Ministries, Solve of West Pasco and Easter Seals lined up Saturday and Sunday to collect the holiday cheer from the Network’s offices in Holiday.
“There are lots of wonderful families, books, toys for the kids. A lot of holiday gifts the local charities are having trouble garnering because of the tough economic times,” said Kids Wish Network’s Alicia Argiz.
The gifts will end up in the hands of children before Christmas.
Kids Wish Network is a nationally recognized non-profit organization. It says it’s focus is to improve the quality of life for children facing life-altering circumstances.
