Joshua and his parents were in a car accident and he was admitted to our PICU due to the severity of his injuries. Because of the accident, Joshua’s parents could not be with him during the beginning of his hospital stay because they were also hospitalized. He had his big brother stay with him until his parents could be with him again. Joshua had many internal injuries due to his seatbelt and therefore had to have many procedures, including a PICC line placed. Joshua was extremely cooperative and brave throughout his stay at the hospital. He is our Hero of the Month!
