Most days when I come to work I have a plan – I know exactly what I’m going to do that day and what needs to be done. If I’m lucky, I get everything on my list accomplished and might be able to get a few extra things done as well. Today – not so much.
I walked in this morning, looked at my desk and said to myself “what exactly was I supposed to do today?????” I had a note from a coworker about a project, but aside from that, my mind was a total blank. I know there was something that I was supposed to do but I couldn’t for the life of me remember what it was. I figured it would come to me eventually so I looked above my head, pulled down the first binder I laid my eyes on and got to work. I spent the next hour and a half looking online at some of the best food that Los Angeles has to offer! You see, I’m in the middle of planning an event for 250 kids and their families at a hospital in Los Angeles and we need food – lots of it!
I came across blogs on everything – the best French fries in the LA area, where to find great sliders, who makes the largest pizza, etc. If you can eat it, someone is likely to blog about it. Then that all reminded me that I needed to submit a blog of my own this week, so here I am!
And, just in case you are wondering, no, I still haven’t figured out what was supposed to be on my to-do list. But hey, at least I got this blog finished!
