In a time like this, my title statement couldn’t be more apt. (Oh, I borrowed that same quote for my title from the best movie of all time – yes, I’m a ‘browncoat.’) The internet has opened so many doors for absolutely everyone that it’s beyond astounding. Of course, some of those doors should probably be opened, shut promptly and sealed for all eternity, but hey…that’s how it goes.
For a growing charity like Kids Wish Network, the internet has not only opened doors, it’s opened windows, vents, shutters and absolutely everything else you can open – and boy are we using them! My Editorial Dept. accomplice Elizabeth is currently being schooled in the second-by-second intricacies of Twittering (and I can tell you that she tweets like a pro…if there is such a thing as a pro tweeter-er), while our Graphics Guru/Webmaster Extraordinaire, Israel, has got our website covered…and Facebook and Squidoo and our blog and…well, you get the idea.
I just think it’s awesome (and a little daunting) that all of this intangible stuff makes such a difference in people knowing about our amazing programs. I just wanted the internet to know that I was glad of it for helping us get our message out there.
