Alex was involved in an accident that caused burns to over 66 percent of his body. He was in the hospital for several months. He was being cared for closer to his home before being transferred to Cincinnati to be cared for at Shriners. Alex had to go through surgeries, painful therapy and rebuilding his strength. He was determined to work hard and push him himself to get better. He was able to go back home and his family helps him with therapy and he is wearing pressure garments to help with scaring and as his skin continues to heal. Although it is difficult, Alex is back to doing the things he loves. It has been a very scary experience to go through but his strength and courage has helped him every step of the way and has been an inspiration to those around him. His positive attitude and determination stand out as qualities of a Hero!

I am very devoted to sending a donation to Kids Wish Network every month. My daughter followed in my footsteps and became an RN. She now works with all the sickest little children at UVA and it makes her a better person. She thanks God every day and night for her two healthy sons. She cries when she talks about her little ones she cares for at the hospital, but she can’t say their names. She calls them her little angels.
I donate clothes to the hospital in case they ever need them. I will be praying for Alex and all the other kids and I will keep my donations coming.

I’m pretty sure remember this little boy when my daughter was in Shriners. He is a very sweet child!
