Sara suffers from a life-threatening condition known as Neurofibromatosis Type 1. It took doctors a very long time to diagnose Sara with the illness, which causes tumors to grow in various parts of the body. The tumors in Sara’s body are located below her waist, including a baseball sized tumor in her abdomen. There are tumors growing in her right leg, which has made the leg two times the size of the left leg. Sara is continually monitored and must get MRIs often.
For her wish, Sara got to go to Florida with her family to meet Mickey Mouse in person. Sara had a blast meeting her favorite mouse and all of his fun friends! She even had the chance to have a princess makeover at the famous Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique!
