Jacob was diagnosed at 8 months old with Cerebral Palsy. This disease has caused him serious speech delay and affects his ability to move freely like other kids his own age. He must wear leg braces, both during the day and at bedtime and often must use a wheelchair for long distances.
At the Professional Bull Riding Finals, Jacob got to meet many of the bull riders and received autographs from his idols Justin McBride, Cody Lambert, Chris Shivers, Jim Sharp, and Tuff Hedeman. Jake was also given several cowboy hats and two sets of chaps.
