Cody is a friendly 14-year-old who suffers from osteogenesis imperfecta – also known as brittle bone disease. The illness has caused Cody to have many broken bones and various surgeries including procedures to surgical implant rods and pins into various parts of his body. Along with having brittle bones, Cody also suffers from fibromyalgia and scoliosis and is sometimes unable to get out of bed due to the intense pain he deals with. He is unable to participate in most activities that teenage boys take part in and has even had to be home schooled.
For his one wish, Cody said he wanted to travel someplace warm. He went on a Carnival Cruise to the Bahamas, where he swam in the ocean and even got to swim with the dolphins! Cody’s mom, Deborah, said that she had not seen such a big smile on her son’s face in such a long time. She said it was worth every moment and that Kids Wish Network was “phenomenal”!

I see that you have Osteogenesis Imperfecta. I also have that and had a wish when I was 15 too. Just wanted to say hi and let you know that you are not alone, keep your head up because your stronger than most people who don’t have brittle bones.
