Alyssa was admitted for a full body rash and later diagnosed with Steven Johnson’s syndrome which resulted from a severe reaction to bactrim. She had sores in her mouth and around her eyes. It was painful, but through it all, Alyssa was a trooper. She would always smile when you passed her room, she was cooperative with her procedures and taking her meds, and even though she could not talk (due to the mouth sores), she managed to keep a positive attitude and is most deserving of this award!
