Alston has been hospitalized since January 25th after being injured in a motor vehicle accident. As a result of the accident, Alston suffered injuries to his spinal cord and cervical vertebrae, leaving him unable to feel or move his legs. Despite the traumatic nature of the accident and his injuries, Alston still manages to demonstrate what a polite and kind young man he is. He regularly asks for hugs from family and staff members in spite of the pain and physical difficulties he is experiencing. He truly is a Hero!
