Facility: Backus Children’s Hospital
Veronica is a beautiful little girl with the diagnosis of Arthrogryposis. This diagnosis causes the joints of the body, and it can be any joint, not to move. In Veronica it is her left leg and both arms. She also has some limitation in her spinal cord. To increase range of motion to increase her function, we are moving joints that are stuck straight. It is painful but Veronica really never complains. She will let you know it hurts, but she keeps on working. She tries to do tasks that I ask, even though it will be very hard for her to move her body the way I want her to move. She is truly my hero.
