Jazmyn is a sweet 16-year-old girl who has been in and out of the hospital for months. She had surgery on her liver and was recently diagnosed with Caroli Disease. Throughout her hospitalization, she has been dealing with unbearable amounts of pain. In fact, it has been so excruciating that she has had to return to UMC several times for pain management. Additionally, Jazmyn will not be able to return to school this year; she will need to make this semester up when she recovers. She is also missing her sophomore softball season, which is devastating to the star player, her family, and teammates, who miss her very much. Despite these issues, Jazmyn has maintained hope and a positive outlook as she looks forward to the day she can return to her normal routine. Jazmyn’s brave attitude and kind soul have been an inspiration to the entire Child Life Team at USC Arizona!
