Caleb is a charming young man, who during his stay at the domestic violence shelter, treats his mother with the utmost respect and does anything he can to help with his four-year-old brother. He has had to change schools several times in the past year, but has managed to keep his grades high and maintain a positive attitude. After school, the staff will often find him – nose in textbooks – concentrating on his homework or assisting his brother.
