Samantha is a fourteen-year-old girl with a real love of cartoons and cartoon movies. The playful toons on the screen bring such a smile to this sweet girl’s face that she can’t stop beaming. A smile comes easy to such a cheerful young lady and she loves to share her joy with just about everyone.
At 10 months old, Samantha was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. Cerebral palsy refers to a group of neurological disorders that permanently affect body movement, brain function and/or muscle coordination. It is caused by abnormalities in the parts of the brain that control the muscles. For Samantha, this means that she is not able to walk and that she is confined to a wheelchair. Since the age of three, Samantha has had a total of four surgeries, and must also wear a back brace and leg braces. In addition, Samantha attends physical, occupational and speech therapies regularly.
Samantha had a blast in Orlando, where she visited Universal Studios, Disney’s Magic Kingdom and SeaWorld. She really enjoyed watching the Shrek show at Universal. It was her dream-come-true.
