At 11 months old, Kira was found to be suffering from cystic fibrosis, which is a disease that causes mucus buildup to clog various organs. This condition often leads to life-threatening lung infections and also interferes with food absorption. In addition, Kira also suffers from hydrocephalus or a build up of cerebrospinal fluid in the skull. In order for the fluid to drain correctly, Kira had to endure a surgery to place a shunt within her skull. Every year this little girl suffers through multiple sinus surgeries as well as daily nebulizer and compression vest treatments.
Kira was pampered like a princess when she went to Aveda for her makeover; she even shopped like a princess around The Shops at Wiregrass on her shopping spree wish! Later in the evening, Kira got to meet Santa Claus and even helped him “conduct” the musical tree lighting ceremony! What a Wish!
