Michael was born with an illness called Sickle Cell disease. This is a debilitating illness which causes a lot of pain, as the body’s blood cells are attacked. He has had various blood transfusions, and he has a low immune system. He occasionally uses a wheelchair for mobility when he is too weak or in too much pain.
Michael said that he had a great time visiting all the theme parks in Orlando, Florida. He said his favorite park was Disney’s Animal Kingdom, where he saw gorillas, lions and a rhino! His mom said he rode all the rides and enjoyed Splash Mountain at the Magic Kingdom. Michael said that his wish definitely came true!
