When Jasmine was born, she was diagnosed with a congenital heart disease called truncus arteriosus type three. This is a rare complex birth defect of the heart in which only one artery leaves the heart, instead of the normal pattern where two great arteries – the aorta and the pulmonary artery – carry blood away from the heart. This commonly causes the heart to become overactive and other problems may also arise. Little Jasmine also has a hole in her heart. Since her birth, she has endured three surgeries and must be under constant supervision.
Three-year-old Jazzy just loved Disney World and she had a real blast spending time with her family in “the most magical place on earth.” We’re glad you had such a wonderful time, Jasmine!
