Name: Joseph
Age: 5
State: Louisiana

Joseph is a bright 5-year-old who enjoys all sorts of cartoons. When he’s not watching his favorite toons on TV, he’s playing with his toy cars or going over what he’s learned about the alphabet. Joseph also loves to play with his V-Tech toy and enjoys tasting ice cream.
At around 11-months-old, a blood test confirmed that Joseph suffered from a neuromuscular disease called Spinal Muscular Atrophy. This condition progressively weakens the voluntary muscles involved in activities such as walking, speaking, swallowing and breathing. Because of this, Joseph has never walked, can’t sit up and has no control over the muscles that hold up his head. He has endured surgery to correct a reflux disorder in his stomach and must be fed primarily via G-tube. While he sleeps, Joseph must use a BiPAP Machine to assist his breathing.
When asked what he wanted for his wish, Joseph let everyone know that he wanted to visit the theme parks in Florida to meet his favorite characters. Get ready to enjoy some real “fun in the sun,” Joseph, because you’re going to Orlando!
