Ty is a sweet and courageous 5-year-old little boy who is perfectly happy sitting by himself and playing with his fire trucks. His favorite TV shows are “Phineas and Pherb” and “Go, Diego, Go!” He likes to spend time with his dog and watch soccer games.

This little guy was born with a condition called Treacher Collins Syndrome. His illness causes a deformity of the facial bones and tissues, which obstructs his airways. Ty was born without any ears and is 97 percent deaf without the aid of a hearing device. In his short life, Ty has had 27 surgeries. He was unable to breathe when he was born, due to the extremely small size of his nasal passages, and he had his first surgery – a tracheotomy – at just 4-days-old. He was trached for the first few years of his life, but is now able to breathe on his own.

When asked what his number one wish would be, Ty decided that he would like to go to Florida to visit Mickey Mouse at Disney World. Well Ty, get ready to go to the happiest place on Earth, because you are getting your wish!
