I’m working on fulfilling a wish for Jonathan in El Paso, Texas, and I called a church there to ask for help. That’s when I talked to a woman named Hope and told her about Jonathan’s wish. Hope is an amazing woman. Right away she started organizing a spaghetti dinner to raise money for Jonathan’s wish.
Hope called me one evening and asked if I knew of a way to make her fundraising dinner more exciting; she wants to raise money for Jonathan’s wish and help Kids Wish Network as much as possible. We thought about it and came up with the idea of a having a silent auction at the dinner. I was thrilled when I was able to get a hold of the El Paso Diablos, a professional baseball team who graciously donated box seats and all kinds of merchandise to help Hope raise money for Kids Wish.
Jonathan and his family are invited to attend the dinner. It’s great for everyone involved when such a wonderful sponsor gets to meet the wish kid and their family. Now I’m just waiting to hear from Hope and to hear about how successful the spaghetti dinner and auction was. Hope, you’re wonderful and thank you so much for the outstanding effort you put forth to help Jonathan and Kids Wish Network. I would also like to extend a special thanks to the El Paso Diablos; you’re really ANGELS! 🙂
