At three months old, Evelyn was diagnosed with cerebral palsy after suffering a brain aneurysm. Cerebral palsy refers to a group of neurological disorders that permanently affect body movement, brain function and muscle coordination. It is caused by abnormalities in the parts of the brain that control the muscles. For this condition, Evelyn has endured multiple brain and limb surgeries and must suffer through more in the future. She also has a seizure disorder that is somewhat controlled by various medicines.
While on her wish trip to Florida, Evelyn went to Universal Studios, Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and the Magic Kingdom. Everywhere she went she met up with her favorite characters and filled up a whole book full of their autographs. She even got to dance with Goofy! What a “magical” trip!
