Davin was accidentally shot in the face at close range. He endured multiple surgeries to fuse his spine and to repair his jaw as well as intensive rehab to prevent contractures. For a short time, he experienced a loss of motor function, swallowing and required an alternative airway for breathing. Davin came to HealthBridge to increase his strength as well as manage his wounds. He continues to work with our rehab team and his skin is healing. Davin has overcome major internal struggles with the accident. His positive outlook and support from family and friends are an inspiration not only to the staff but also to other patients. Davin has been willing and able to share with other patients the story of his hospitalization and recovery process.
