Catheryn was admitted to the hospital in December with severe pneumonia. She was unable to respond to antibiotics while at home and was admitted with a high fever and chest pains. Due to the amount of fluid in her lungs, she was required to have surgery to insert a chest tube and pic line. Because there was so much fluid in her lungs, she was unable to lie flat, making it difficult for her to get the rest she needed. She spent 2 days in the PICU recovering from her procedure. Through it all she remained a trooper and couldn’t wait to get home to say “Hi” to everyone she misses!
