5 Celeb Wishes in 1 Week

Hi!

Wow!  It can be hectic in the wish department.  Not long ago we had 5 celebrity wishes go out in one week and all of them were spectacular!!  We hear about so many celebs behaving badly, that we sometimes forget that there are truly some great heroes in their midst that never get the props they deserve.

It all started off with a wish to meet Gene Simmons –that’s right, the legendary member of KISS!  He took our wish kid, Barrett on a tour of his Private KISS Museum.  Mr. Simmons even gave our wish kid and his family lots of memorabilia including 2 autographed gold records!  Our wish kid was even featured in a webisode of Mr. Simmons hit tv show.  You can check it out at Barrett meets Gene Simmons.  Be sure to check out an episode of Mr. Simmons tv show, “Gene Simmons Family Jewels” on A & E!

Next, we did a wish for a great little boy who wanted to meet Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.  He has a special place in our hearts here at Kids Wish Network.  We have worked with him since his WWE days and he has always been so kind and attentive to our kids.  Our wish kid, Cody, and his family met The Rock and were special guests at a private screening of his movie, “The Game Plan”.  It was number one at the box office and is definitely worth seeing.  You may want to rent a copy or see his new movie, “Get Smart”.

We then did a wish with NASCAR driver, Tony Stewart who invited our wish kid to meet him at his trailer at Talladega!  Tony took the time to sit with little Patrick and discuss cars and racing.  Tony is currently 12th in the Race for the Nextel Cup.  Go Tony!  We know that you can take the Home Depot car all the way to the top!

The last celebrity wish of the week actually involved 2 kids who wanted nothing more than to meet the pop sensation, The Backstreet Boys!  Yes, Backstreet is back again and sounding better than ever!  April and Sarah were hoping to share a few precious moments with the guys, but they got much more than that!  The girls actually spent 1 ½ hours at a closed rehearsal watching the guys sing and dance.  A.J., Brian, Howie and Nick signed autographs, took pictures and even answered a questionnaire prepared by the girls.  Be sure to pick up a copy of their new CD.  They sound great!  You may want to check out their summer tour dates, they may be coming to your town and are definitely worth seeing!
