Kids Wish Network Grants the Wish of a Very Special Omaha Boy

Omaha, NE – Kendall is an adorable little four-year-old who brings a smile to everyone he meets. This special pre-schooler absolutely loves watching The Wiggles and Sesame Street and also enjoys playing with his toy tractors. Kendall also likes baseball. His favorite foods are soda crackers and mashed potatoes and his favorite color is blue. While in many ways, Kendall is a typical little boy, there is something that makes him unique from his peers: Kendall struggles daily with a very serious heat condition.

Kendall was born with an extremely rare condition known as Towne’s Brocks Syndrome, a chronic kidney disorder. In addition, he was diagnosed with Tetraology of Fallot, a heart defect. Kendall has endured numerous surgeries throughout his young life including a heart valve replacement. He is g-tube fed, has a tracheotomy and often needs oxygen treatments.

Recently, this courageous little guy enjoyed a very special break away from his worries for a precious while thanks to Kids Wish Network, an organization that grants wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses. Kendall’s mother, Bridget, learned about the organization after his grandmother received a phone call from one of the charity’s professional fundraisers.

After Kids Wish Network approved Kendall for a wish, his wish coordinator, Jessica, asked him for his number one wish. Kendall didn’t hesitate: he wanted to go to Disney World. Jessica immediately got to work.

She not only secured airline tickets to Florida and arranged for theme park passes to the many parks there, she also booked hotel accommodations, made dinner reservations for the family at area restaurants, arranged for spending money and more. Kendall was in for a truly spectacular trip!

During his stay in the Sunshine State, Kendall hit just about every park he could get to including, the Magic Kingdom, the Animal Kingdom and MGM Studios.

Jessica arranged for some other fun activities for the family including passes to Wonderworks, Orlando’s famous ‘upside-down’ museum, and dinner at the Pirates Dinner Adventure Theater where patrons can engage in a live, interactive pirate show.

Kendall returned home from his trip tired, but with plenty of wonderful memories. For this brave little guy, it truly was a dream come true!

Kids Wish Network would like to thank the following for helping to make Kendall’s wish extra special: Benihana Japanese Steakhouse and Sushi Bar, Pirates Dinner Adventure Theater, Pizza Hut, Royal Plaza Hotel and Wonderworks.
