Kids Wish Network Gives ShaTia ‘The World’

LOUISBURG- Little ShaTia is a unique three-year-old. At her young age, her favorite personality isn’t Barney, but is Oprah Winfrey and her favorite singer isn’t a member of a boy band, but rather, he is a gospel singer. And though these things set her apart from her peers, there is something much more serious that also singles her out. ShaTia suffers from a life threatening form of asthma, complicated even more by gastrointestinal reflux. She has been hospitalized over *** times from sudden, near-fatal attacks and must use a nebulizer breathing machine to administer her numerous medications.

But despite all the adversity in her life, ShaTia still has an adventurous spirit. So when ShaTia’s mother was referred to Kids Wish Network by Duke University Medical Center, she contacted a Wish Coordinator there about her daughter’s dream of going to Disney World. In no time, a trip was put together beyond any child’s wildest imagination. Not only was it arranged for ShaTia and her family to enjoy Disney and other exciting Orlando amusement parks, a room was also reserved for them at Give Kids the World, a resort catering to the special needs of families who have children with life threatening illnesses. “**************************,” said Angela.

During their vacation, ShaTia and her family enjoyed a full Orlando experience, visiting Walt Disney World theme parks, Universal Studios and Sea World. ShaTia’s favorite things were all the rides and roller coasters at Universal and the Magic Kingdom. “***************************************************************,” Angela said. All attractions were compliments of Give Kids the World and Kids Wish Network.

“*******************************************************************************************,” said Angela. “**********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************.”
