Kids Wish Network Gives Rufino ‘The World’

LAKELAND-Watching Scooby Doo, singing “Itsy Bitsy Spider”, and playing with toy cars all make young Rufino happy. He seems like any typical 3-year-old boy, except for one major difference: he has an extremely rare and devastating condition known as diphallia. In addition to this, he also suffers from spina bifida. He has difficulty walking

So when Kids Wish Network was contacted about Rufino and his dream of going to Disney World, Wish Coordinator Kara Stecker quickly put together a trip beyond this young boy’s wildest imagination. Not only did she arrange for Rufino and his family to enjoy Disney and other exciting Orlando amusement parks, she also reserved a room for them at Give Kids the World, a resort catering to the special needs of families who have children with life threatening illnesses. “**************************,” said DeAnna.

During their vacation, Rufino and his family enjoyed a full Orlando experience, visiting Walt Disney World theme parks, Universal Studios and Sea World. Rufino’s favorite things were all the rides and roller coasters at Universal and the Magic Kingdom. “***************************************************************,” DeAnna said. All attractions were compliments of Give Kids the World and Kids Wish Network.
