TAMPA – As a member of the press, you are invited to see corporations and celebrities come together as they challenge mind and body in Kids Wish Network’s Team Wish Challenge II charity benefit, held February 23, at USF’s Riverfront Park. Corporate sponsors, local firefighters and law enforcement will strategize team-building techniques as they compete physically and emotionally in activities like rock climbing, crazy corporate canoeing and the high ropes course. The fundraiser will benefit Kids Wish Network’s Guardian Angel fund, of which 100% of the net proceeds will go directly toward making even more dreams come true for children with life threatening illnesses.
Opening ceremonies begin at 8:30 a.m. with the team spirit of the Tampa Bay Buccaneer Cheerleaders, immediately followed by “The Challenges” at 9. Some of the Celebrity team captains include Aaron Stecker and Todd Yoder of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, local TV and radio personalities Jack Harris and Dick Crippen and Pinellas County Commissioner Susan Latvala. These and other surprise celebrities will offer their support by cheering competing teams to victory. Participants also will experience the magic a fulfilled dream creates, when a “Wish Child” is presented with his special wish request.
Come and see what all the excitement is about!
Please Note: Due to tight security, it is mandatory for members of the media to confirm attendance. Press will be required to bring media passes that Kids Wish Network will provide. Spectators and unauthorized guests will not be permitted for the safety of everyone participating.
