LACEY – Marc is a witty and decisive teenager who loves watching Sandra Bullock on the big screen, playing with his cat Woofy and like most teens, idolizes his truck. To look at Marc you wouldn’t notice that there is anything different about him, but looks can be deceiving. This past December he was diagnosed with acute lymphocytic leukemia. The illness causes Marc to experience pain in his bones and joints, and because he tires easily, requires the use of a wheelchair when traveling long distances.
Wish Coordinator Terri McConn of Kids Wish Network was contacted about Marc and his wish for a set of gold-filled Dayton Wire Rims for his truck. Terri quickly raced to the finish line to bring Marc his shimmering new rims, converting his vehicle into a lean, teen dream machine.
Marc was so excited when the set arrived at his house. “I can’t believe I got them so fast!” said Marc. “The rims are so perfect – they’re just what I wanted!”
While Marc will still have to face the uncertain challenges of battling leukemia, he can always get away from it all and experience happiness when he’s riding around in his pride and joy feeling like he’s king of the road.
Kids Wish Network would like to thank British Wire Wheels for offering the 22” gold-filled wire rims at a discounted rate, making Marc’s wish a dream come true.
