SAVANNAH – Nathan, age 10, of Savannah, Georgia, loves watching The Price is Right, going to amusement parks and people watching. Nathan is a sweet and sensitive child who is lucky to have a caring family who can take care of his special needs. He has Quadreplegia Cerebral Palsy and Hydrocephalus. He cannot sit, crawl or walk and requires a motorized wheelchair and help being fed.
Nathan has always wished to go to Disney World, so when Terri was contacted about Nathan and his need for a special dose of happiness, she quickly went to work on creating a wish that she knew he would absolutely love. Terri would soon be sending Nathan and his family on a vacation to Florida to experience the fun of its many amusement parks, and to share special moments at Give Kids the World in Kissimmee, a magical resort full of laughter, joy and hugs, catering to the unique needs of families who have children with life threatening illnesses.
During their vacation, they enjoyed a full Orlando experience, visiting Walt Disney World theme parks, Universal Studios and Sea World. All attractions were compliments of Kids Wish Network and Give Kids the World. American Airlines provided round trip airfare for Nathan and his entire family.
While Nathan will still face the uncertain challenges, Nathan and his family will always cherish the wish they shared together, when everything was absolutely perfect – in “Nathan’s World”.
