LAKELAND – Morgan, a 17-year-old from Lakeland, loves watching MTV, Jackie Chan movies and especially listening to Pop and Rap music. While Morgan insists on living his life as a typical teenager, his life is anything but typical. In February of 2000, Morgan was diagnosed with Hodgkins disease. Since then, life has been a series of chemotherapy, radiation treatments and visits to the doctor. While most high school students are self-conscious about their appearance, Morgan remains brave even after losing all of his hair.
When Wish Coordinator Terri McConn of Kids Wish Network was contacted about this courageous young man, she quickly tuned in to Morgan’s only wish, and arranged to have a CD stereo system with speakers installed in his ’83 Ford Ranger. Soon, thanks to the help of generous sponsors, Morgan will be able to take a “joy ride” whenever he wants to get away from it all and just enjoy being a kid.
Please join Morgan for the delivery of his special wish, Friday, April 20, at
Boulevard Customs of Lakeland, 215 East Memorial Blvd., Lakeland. Please call Boulevard Customs at (863)802-1320 for a scheduled time, as it is still to be announced.
Kids wish Network would like to thank both the Rockford Corporation for donating the new system, and Boulevard Customs of Lakeland for its installation, making Morgan’s wish a dream come true.
