Kids Wish Network gives Kyle ‘The World’

Kyle, age 4, of Paducah, Kentucky, loves the movie Tarzan, his all-time favorite toy – his older brother Tyler, and to the happiness of his parents, even eating his veggies. While most 4-year-olds lives are brimming with fun and games, Kyle’s is filled with appointments for physical, occupational and speech therapies. He has hypoplastic left heart syndrome, having the use of only have of his heart.

It’s not easy being a child wondering why you cannot do all the same fun activities as other kids, or why you have to keep having operations. Kyle needed some time to just be a kid. When Terri McConn of Kids Wish Network was contacted about Kyle and his wish to see Mickey Mouse and Tarzan in Disney World, like his favorite movie hero, she quickly “swung” into action and made his dream come true.

In addition to experiencing the thrill of many amusement parks, Kyle and his family would soon be sharing special moments at Give Kids the World in Orlando, Florida, a magical resort full of laughter, joy and hugs, catering to the unique needs of families who have children with life threatening illnesses.

While at Give Kids the World, Kyle and his family dined at its Gingerbread House Restaurant, and ate ice cream at its ice cream parlor adorned with a graham cracker roof and banana splits. During their stay, they took part in all the fun-filled activities the resort had to offer.

During their vacation, the family enjoyed a full Orlando experience, visiting Walt Disney World theme parks, Universal Studios and Sea World. All attractions were compliments of Give Kids the World and Kids Wish Network.

No matter what challenges the future holds for Kyle, his family will always cherish the special gift they received – a wondrous wish full of non-stop joy and happiness together, when for an entire week, everything was absolutely perfect – in “Kyle’s World.”
