Fan Fair a “Dream Come True”

Just attending Fan Fair 2000 and seeing all her favorite country music stars perform would have been exciting enough for 17-year old Tiffany. She had no idea how many surprises Kids Wish Network, the wish-granting organization that made Tiffany’s dream to go to Fan Fair a reality, and the folks at Fan Fair had in store. Upon arrival in Nashville the day before the opening ceremonies, Tiffany and her parents were invited to a very special picnic as the guests of Lonestar. At Fan Fair, Tiffany had an extraordinary experience when she not only got to see Bryan White, her favorite star, sing but, along with her parents, was a VIP guest backstage at his private Fan Club Party.

Tiffany was born with spina bifida and is confined to a wheelchair. This doesn’t stop her from being pretty much like any other girl her age. She adored the movie Titanic,
enjoys football and wrestling, especially “Stone Cold” Steve Austin. But Tiffany’s real passion is for country music so it came as no surprise that when Kids Wish Network asked what she wished for, Tiffany’s first wish was to go to Fan Fair.

In addition to meeting Lonestar, and Bryan White, Tiffany was also treated to meet and greets with Tim McGraw, Lorrie Morgan, Joe Diffy, Alabama, and many other country music artists. The highlight of Tiffany’s wish trip was the evening she was surprised with tickets to the TNN Country Music Awards at the Gaylord Entertainment Center where she got to watch many of her favorite artists receive awards. “I was wondering why I was sitting in the hotel room in my prom dress. Mom and Dad kept saying we were going out to dinner and I thought, this must be one classy restaurant!” Tiffany told Wish Coordinator, Madeline Robinson. “This trip has been soooo cool.”

While in Nashville, the family was also treated to an evening at the Grand Ol’ Opry and a dinner show aboard the General Jackson Riverboat. Hotel accommodations were provided by Hampton Inn and ground transportation by Avis.

Tiffany’s trip to Fan Fair shows that dreams really do come true.
